Hi Sean & Allison. Putting a container together is always fun. I never planted a Rex Begonia but I have several others in pots. I was more interested in the coneflowers that you guys have in a container. I also potted one up in a container & wanted to learn how to care for them grown in pots vs ground. Hope you can do a video segment on it or if you have one to link it. TY!❤

Absolutely correct: you have to put Begonia tubers into a pot (for example), in a mostly shady spot, weeks after last frost and they like it crowded, they like the soil to be completely dry before watering and guys...they love coffee grounds. And you can lift them or bring them inside for the winter months. Those impatiens, however, never do well inside. Unfortunately.

I love the beacon impatiens i grew from seed this year but mine were not growing downward whatsoever! They were over a foot tall but maybe would have become droopy if i had left them instead of pinching to make them bushier. Too bad you didn't have my beacon red as they would have paired better with your rexes. I love rexes, also! Here in 7a, they are houseplants with a short summer break outside.❤
