I always put it on TTL (Though The Lems) mode, which is kinda an auto mode 😂 And it's been very reliable in my experience 😆

Hey! I have a question that I hope you can answer for me. I have a G2 and the TLA 140 flash. Flash works great at night but when I try to use it for daylight, it never fires. I've tried all the different settings but nothing seems to work. Any tips? I would appreciate the help so much!

Hey man! Thanks for watching! Have you gone back and try to fire the flash at night again? Like, I wonder if it only works at night now, or doesn't work at all, no matter the light. I've had one old flash that didn't fire at all and ended up replacing it. I'd suggest you make sure you use fresh batteries, and make sure you're in TTL mode. Also, maybe, if the ISO setting is set too high, e camera night think it doesn't need flash during day time. So I'd say check your ISO setting too. Hope this helps!

How do you like that specific flash ?? Would you say is worth buying ?

Unless you only shoot outdoor during the day, I'd say it's worth buying. The flash is pretty smart. It has TTL. Having a flash gives you much more opportunities to get the pictures you would, otherwise, not be able to get without a flash.

When shooting with flash do u have it set to auto or ? ill be shooting with portra 400 film as well!

Yeah! I always use TTL (through the lens) which is auto, with the combination of exposure compensation wheel.

Hello , I would like to ask you , can g1 function if lcd screen has turned back ? What functions do we lose in that case ? Is it worth the extra money for the g2

I can't really amswer for you because it depends. It's a case-to-case thing, like, what's the cause of your black so screen. One thing for sure is, with the black LCD screen, you lose the ability to see the information on the LCD screen (drive mode, battery, ISO settings, frame counter) Is G2 worth the extra money? It depends what you value, man. I personally don't think it is, though.

I bought mine from eBay from a seller in Japan! From my experience, secondhand products in Japan are still in great condition.

Hi! I have a question about TLA 140. I have Contax G2 and just recently bought TLA 140. However, I have some trouble using it because the flash never fires at all. I have already turned the flash into TTL mode and went to the dark place to try it on, yet the flash did not fire. Then I tried to turned the Manual mode, and it didn’t work too. However, when I pressed the “Test” button the flash fries. So I would like yo kindly ask you if there is anything I should do to use the TLA 140 or any tips? I would really appreciate your help so much. Thanks!
