How do you get that imported colorful image of your model that makes it easier to select with the magic wand tool? Is that from VRay?
@LearnUpstairs5 жыл бұрын
Hi Brandon! Exactly! In Vray there's an option that you can enable called *Render* *Elements* There you can choose which render pass or render channel (as it is also called) activate. Usually I use material ID, geometric normals, render ID and object ID The option is located under the settings tab in vray asset editor, expand to your right and you should find it. I hope that helps!

Hi, love your videos. But as an architectural visualizationartist im wondering isn't it much faster to add plants and carpets and all that stuff in 3d software ? Your end result looks okay but all that shadow painting just seems like unnecessary extra step. You could maybe add glare/plant here and there but then it would be mostly about color correction.
@LearnUpstairs5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! It all depends on your personal preferences and what result you're looking to achieve at the end. To do it in 3d you'll need a very detailed 3d plant model (usually paid) and if you're using lots of it, also a very powerful PC to handle it all. For me personally, I rather spend this time over the post-production to create exactly what I need using png images that I've gathered. For sure I'll try to move into heavy 3d work in the future, but for now I think this all comes down to personal preference and how well you can your tools. This video shares my workflow. What software do your currently use? And where to you get your 3d models from? I'm always seeking to improve 😁

@@LearnUpstairs Thanks for explaining mate, i can see your side of the fence now. Although you don't really need massive beast pc to render simple scenes, usually it's large scale exteriors that require a lot of power. It's funny because i usually do the contrary-the less post production i have to do the better i think i did my job but of course as u said, it all comes down to personal preference and end goal. When it comes to 3d models i personally love modeling stuff myself as much as i can, just to stay on top of it but there are plenty amazing sites you can buy models from like 3dsky.org /Evermotion/ Dimensiva.

Did you render the 3D before convert to photoshop? If the answer is yes which software you use for that?
@LearnUpstairs4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I used Sketchup to model and Vray to render

Hi! Thank you so much for the tutorial! I'm really interested to buy the course that you mentioned in the video about step-by-step interior post production rendering, I didn't find it on your channel, did it come out yet? Thank you so much!

Thank you for the feedback! I'm finishing the last lessons from the course. Currently I'm rendering the videos. And I'll post over udemy as soon as possible. It didn't come out yet. The course will be for exterior images, but the workflow that I will teach over the course can be applied to make this interior images as well
