As per Royal chronicles of Manipur, (4th edition), "mayang yumpham" is mentioned on pg 39 during the reign of king Khagemba (way before Bheigyachandra). w Footnote on "Mayang Yumpham" is explained as when mayang king KALARAJA attacked khuman king, khuman king defeated them..those mayang captured Alive were brought to Manipur and King gave them a place to settle called Mayang yumpham (home) which now known as Mayang Imphal. This footnote is referred to "Khuman Kangleirol".

The Bishnupriya Manipuri community has long been a part of the region, with a distinct history and culture. While the Khuman Kangleirol refers to an external settlement, the Bishnupriya Manipuris have deep roots in the region.

Meitei history is different , Bishnupriya history is different, dont mix them. Meitei are from Imphal, Bishnupriyas are from Bishnupur. You keep your history with you and we keep our history with us. We are Indo Aryan people, lineage of Arjuna, And Meiteis are Tibeto, Burmese and Mongolian lineage Dont mix your history with ours

Who is the father of Manipur Dance Guru Bipin Singh was a director, choreographer, and teacher of Manipuri dance. He was born on 23 August 1918 into a Bishnupriya Manipuri Family. He is regarded as the Father of Manipuri Dance.🙏🏼

Not really, Manipuri dance already existed way before 1918, Maybe Guru Bipen just brought the dance to the Bishnupriya from the state of Manipur.

I don't know who, how and why Guru Oja Bipin Singh is called father of Manipuri dancer. Manipuri dance existed even before the birth of Guru Bipin Singh. I do respect Guru Bipin Singh but calling him father of Manipuri dance is not correct.

McCollock has never told us that Bishnupriya Manipuri he told only Meeyang. On the other hand, Mc Cullock research showed, "And the Meeyang or people from west, they amongst themselves always speak their own language which is a dialect Hindee, but they all understand and most of them can speak Munnipuree." Our language is similar to Hindi i.e. Pani pileta - Pani peeliya etc. At the time of Grierson's research compound letterforms were not in vogue e.g Bishunu+pur but today this word pronunciation is Bishnu+pur. I might be wrong so jodi bhul kita or utaile nijor sougo mone koriya khoma koreh diyo arta sudho uhan jate moreh bujeibai uhan me asha korwrid

History has always been tainted. And in this age, solely referring to history text books and relying on their diluted authenticity is of no use. If I have to cite you a very popular example, contemporary students of the People's Republic of China are not even 1% aware of the 1989 Tiananmen Square Chinese Massacre because the ruling party doesn't want the future generations to know that their ancestors were inhumanly killed by the ruling party for revolting against the regime. The regime wiped out every single evidence out there but since they can't ask NATO to delete the evidences, the whole world came to know abt it via media excluding North Korea and China of course.
