Ed, you’re thinking of “Pedi”, who had a style that was like a mix of McFarlane and Platt. Use to draw HUGE packages on guys for some reason. He never seemed to catch on though. Met him once or twice, very interesting dude. On a side note, I used to visit Extreme Studios in the 90s, and actually got to sit and watch Platt work for a few hours. It was fascinating. He was always super cool to me, seemed like just a genuine dude with a really crazy art style.

I'm loving this comics lending library idea - I put a 2-pack of floppies in one of those suckers at 8am and it was gone by 6pm

Pretty sure the artist Ed's referring to is Pedi who had a Mcfarlane/Cleary vibe.

EXTREMEly fun video! Ed's "Jennifer Connelly at the end of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM" and Jim's "LADY AND THE TRAMP" one-two punch of comments made me laugh.

Platt's art inspired a lot of comic book artists back in the 90's, including me! Btw, it is pronounced "Hom-Age" Homage...just an FYI! :)

Not sure if anyone has said it, but Invincible 72 (Invincible Vs. Conquest) is pretty hard to beat for extreme super hero fights.

Guys I have to go to bed stop posting great videos ... , nevermind keep up the great work !!!
Have you thought about putting a stamp/sticker on the books you are taking to the library? Just thought it might be a deterrent to someone scooping everything up and putting them on e-bay and even if they still did the comics would be easily identified.

Honestly any book that I drop off I assume could be taken for keeps and never seen again. As long as one other person reads it besides me I'm happy lol

Y'all tossed me down a rabbit hole with that Pedi person. The art for Supreme 11 was, uh, something else. They did a Batroc story in Marvel Comics Presents that looked way more professional, but certainly still of a style. So then I'm looking through the later MCP issues and see Reggie Jones Ghost Rider work. I'd never heard of him before, but I liked that art. Very Tom Mandrake-ish. He did a bunch of Vengeance stuff for MCP as well, but the art seemed to lose something as he went on. Lastly, Giffen's Lunatik serial looked very interesting. Perhaps that could be put under the microscope for an episode? Trencher style art in the Marvel Universe.
