Crazy how I was looking for a review on these for my MK2 and found you here Patrick thanks for the review. For a once-a-month if I'm lucky autox'er who wants something that would last me a long time, I think this might be the tire for me.

Good stuff! I also find them to have excellent feel and feedback characteristics, and I did get to try them in the wet a bit at TMP last Sunday and was impressed by the wet grip.

Trying to decide on tires for the upcoming AutoX season here in the GTA. I have uses the A052 in the past and they are great but they dont last so by the end of the season I just dont have the grip I need to keep up with the others. I'm considering the Conti extreme contact force tires as they seem to last longer however I'm worried about cold grip since in AutoX its 1 lap maybe around 50sec give or take then your off for a while again. Is it worth loosing some cold grip compared to the A052? Or is there little difference.

We don't really have to warm them up on our endurance car, and our car is pretty light too, I think these will be a great choice for you. Also, one of the students from our Applied Motorsports Data course, Max Blackburn, used a set of our take-offs at a PADA autox event in the wet, and he won his class. ALSO ANOTHER DATA POINT, it was 5C at our first endurance at CTMP last year, and these tires performed really well

@@bsquaredmotorsports Good to know thanks, I also race at PADA Autox. I checked with Conti but they dont have my size unfortunately & if I run the 1 size up I will end up rubbing. So I need to look at another tire now. Thanks for the info.

what hot psi do you recommand on a 3600lb car? How many lap does it take to warm up? And what cold psi do you usually start with?

Our team with our 2500 lb 86, starts at 24 to a hot pressure between 26-28, depending on what we want from that track day, I wouldnt know the most correct pressure for your car, but I guess I would target a hot pressure of 30-32 , and see if it feels right and wears as you expect. Very hard to recommend a pressure without knowing the car/track conditions

How do you think these tires would do as a straight line street tire on a c6 corvette with 650whp? Looking for a tire to hit twisties but will also put down the 650whp in a straight line.

So maybe 8 hours since most cars weigh 3500-4000lb , and most people run with track temps 800-110 degrees

The only problem I think with this exact product : Continental Tire Canada gave the EXCLUSIVITY to Bicknell racing. Monopoly IS NEVER GOOD in an open market. And thats why I decided to buy RE-71RS. I sell more than 2000 conti units per year at the tire shop I manage. NONE WILL BE Forces..................

@@bsquaredmotorsports I contacted Continental Tire Canada directly in mississauga on being told this product is sold on a monopoly strategy....strategy my ass.

Continental Tire will only sell these race tires through Hoosier dealers all over North America and Bicknell are the Canadian distributor.
