Just had the same oil pressure issue 10 psi. On O-470. My plunger had about 1/2 wear as the one you had there. Two cheapest parts I ever purchased. $18 plunger and $22 spring installed back to 50 psi hot. That 1” angle wrench is the only tool that works. Love the channel keep these videos coming

Being retired from GA, I really get a wonderful kick from watching your videos! Keep up the great work, hope your videos inspire future Aviation Maintenance Engineers to keep 'em flying! Aircraft cannot be fixed with programming "software"! Get your A&P, you will have unlimited work for the next 100 years! Now to make enough money for your time, diligence, and undertaking of responsibility to make flying work and get paid for it... hmmm! It seems, the larger the aircraft, the larger the paycheck?! The majority of the greatest individuals in aviation are mostly found in the GA sector! Nice video Aviation Squared, please keep them coming!

I'm a pilot for fun and a crane operator for money. So I love little man's shirt. Lol My 6yo has mostly construction clothes. If there were more channels that shot their videos like y'all, I'd cancel all TV and be watching YT instead.

Truly enjoying your channel! Great content, interesting tools, and real knowledge. Extra credit for detailed explanations even a pilot can understand! You keep posting and I will keep on watching.

Just a footnote. Thanks for pointing me to the WERA wrenches! Man, those are cool. Getting a full set of the Jokers. I've run into this with relief valves. Metal particles can make a short piece of work on the relief valve seat! The problem simply multiplies.

Just a suggestion, I'm an A&P and have seen low oil pressure on Continental engines. If you are still getting metal in your filter I'd check your lifters. They are known to break down.

Do you happen to have the part number for that lapping tool you got from RAM? I trying to buy one but I can’t seem to find it.
@Downtownsarahbrown2 ай бұрын
Very helpful video! Can you please share a link or P/N for how to order the lapping tool from RAM? I searched their website and catalog to no avail. Just cleaning the parts rectified my O470 low oil pressure situation for now, but there is enough damage to the seat that it would really benefit from being properly lapped. Thanks!
@Downtownsarahbrown2 ай бұрын
FWIW I called RAM and they don't sell the lapping tool anymore, but they do loan it out. Call them if you need it and they'll arrange to ship it to you.
