Before you ask or comment: When a rock jams, they just hoist the tire which shifts the pile and unjams it. The trucks are filled by weight not volume. Iron ore is really heavy.

This crusher seems to work more efficiently than others I’ve seen but they all have the same problem where not all the material flows into the crusher

Its because the angles of the hopper is based on careful calculations. If they are to shallow they clog easier, if they are to steep the upper housing of the crusher takes more of a beating. as does the wear plates on the far side of the hopper. its easier to deal with material stuck to the hopper then it is to replace the upper bearing spider 20 years early because its been pummeled with asteroids.

Also before you comment: Iron ore is really abrasive. The hopper is designed to have a certain amount "stuck" the walls so they don't wear out too quickly.

Limits the boulder jamming. If there's a jam, then just pulling out the tyre shifts boulders and unjams the crusher.

That was lucky day. Always jamming due to dirt's piles and to flow down. Needed to clean off dirt's down to metal slop wall it will smoothly down sliding into crunchs
