As soon as all the apple advertising and product placement happened the series took a real downturn. That corresponded with a split timeline in started in series 3 - such a pity - the first two series were excellent.

@@mactastic144 nah. Season 3 brought the vibe down and it showed coz it got cancelled straight after it and was just brought back for a shortened final season lmao so it didn’t lifted up the show. It ruined it

Season 3 was a mess. It had a lot Of potential and a few good storylines but it was all over the place. The continuity and pacing didn’t really matched well and it was too much going on at once. So many random side stuff was happening too that wasn’t needed

As someone who worked on the show I agree. I hated the freelancers time branch that amounted to nothing. The show was planned for 8 seasons. If we knew ahead of time that 4 seasons were going to be it, it's likely that we would've swapped the "Traveller" plot line in for freelancers. After Season 3, we were in suspended animation, not knowing if there was going to be any continuation. When we were renewed for the final half-season, we had to rush and cram everything that was left into a prompt resolution. I say, that it was still better than getting cancelled outright. CG quality, I know, suffered in Season 4, because there just wasn't enough time. Like all the Time Marines robotic suits - I had to do 6 of them in one day. Normally to do something like that you get few days per suit, if they are to look good. Animators didn't have much time either to sell the weight. It's not like we didn't see the errors. Anything that wasn't right - is merely a consequence of not having enough time and being rushed to move on. I had a notebook where I kept nitpicks, none of which were ever addressed. It was considered, that the audience wasn't going to pay much attention anyway. That I worried too much.
