This is one of my all time favorite tv shows. The ending was AWESOME! One of the best tv show endings of all time. I definitely recommend this show. Also, some of the best time-travel theories explored in this show too.

No way would I recommend it. Maybe Season 1/2 but it went pretty stupid and messy during season 3 and lost its Plot and the pacing wasn’t great. Season 4 was way too rushed

This was the gold standard for time travel tv shows. Travelers premiered in 2016 and gave Continuum a run for its money, but Travlers suffered because it didn't have a strong ending (although the uncertainly of things certainly does fit in the theme of the show). In my opinion, 12 Monkeys the tv show did become the new gold standard, not just for the incredible ways they used the possibilities of the time travel concept, but for also for absolutely sticking the landing.

I was VFX Technical Director on the show, responsible for about half of the VFX shots. This was the favourite show of my 100-show career to have worked on. I'm happy, that we got a half-season for the finale. Season 3 could've been it. Renewal wasn't certain for the longest time. We were ready to hang the hat, but got the chance to wrap loose ends quickly. Many things the show guessed, ended up as prophecies. Example - Amazon Halo health bracelet. In Continuum, the bracelet Alec invents with future tech was also called Halo. Watching the show, you may not realize, how many things in it were wild guesses and unknown at the time of the making.

Me and my brother loved this show when it first came out. I wish they would've continued the series or did some spin-off, maybe with the mystery time traveler, kellog or the alternate timelines, but I'm still glad it was at least given an ending. I hope to one day visit Vancouver and maybe visit some of the filming locations.... might sound excessive but sometimes certain shows just imprint on you during really good or bad times in your life. Also, I actually just finished rewatching it, and im probably gonna watch it again every few years for the rest of my life. 😁

I keep wanting to do a retrospect, but I've been putting it off literally for 12 years, because something comes up each time, and it's starting to get to the point where even I start to forget fine details. I have a loud parrot in the house, which make any kind of sound recording impossible. If I have to film, I have to go outside, and figure out how to set up. I still work with some Continuum people, but I have way better memory than the rest of them. They typically ask me about the past, because they have already forgotten all about it. And I used to write everything down. I have set sketches, where I was figuring out where everyone was in the scene. I treated it, like it was a real deal, and not sci-fi. Regarding Vancouver - I keep thinking of what locations I could use. Downtown's not safe anymore. Many places where filming took place were demolished and rebuilt, like the store where Alec worked. I think I mentioned that in some of my comments. Other places just don't look the same anymore. And I don't know all of them anyway. Just ones I can recognize myself. I'm glad you like the show with your brother. It was one of my favorite things to work on. Season 2 was my personal favorite. Last one was too rushed and I didn't like the freelancer arc. Too short and too convoluted. Traveler was supposed to have his own season, but that didn't happen.

@@doryaman I think that the writers didn’t knew how to keep it Spicy. They tried to be smart asses about their own storyarcs but none felt really developed. There was way too much going on and nothing had been continued properly like the storylines of season 1/2. I loved season 2 more than 1 but 3 ruined it all. 4 had a nice touch but I didn’t really cared enough anymore at that point lmao

Great performances, F/X, and wonderful writing tying it all together. A welcome move away from unconnected 'episode' television to continuing plot lines and character development. Continuum and Fringe are two series Perfect for binge watching ! (Yes, it is worthwhile to purchase all seasons of both shows). I always hoped once Kiera Cameron returned to her new future timeline, that grown up Alec Sadler ( William B. Davis ) helped place her in a new life with a new job, and she meets someone special and has a new second family... happy together and uninterrupted by time travel. :-)

Excellent series, good as the Fringe/observer serie. The story lines all tied up nicely, but it ended with a paradox. Two Kiera in the same time line, I like to know where and when Kellogg ended up at. He was in a forest with trible men. Still don't know where, when and how the original time traveler/master came from. He looked like Jesus.

+Sam “Specie5618” Hsu They didn't have time do the Traveller story but they hope to expand on that in future, perhaps in a graphic novel. There was a lot of storyline that had to be cut out to fit into the six episodes. We've seen that two characters can exist in the same place I get the impression though that 'our' Kiera would be swiftly taken away

+Sam “Specie5618” Hsu They talk about it a little bit, the time traveler was from a further future than everyone else in the story, they say "hundreds of years into the future". I assume they developed the ability to implant the power source into the body so he could travel at will. The thing with two Keiras took me a while.. You have to look at a few steps. You have the original future of 2077 where nobody traveled into time. Then from that timeline, Keira went back into the past to 2012 creating a new future. In this new future (Kellog is in his 60's-70's so maybe 30 years into the future?), Kellog took control of Pirion and apparently killed everyone in the story (or they died somehow) because they aren't in the future where he became almost like an overlord. That's where Brad came from. So, as long as Kellog was alive and in power, the future would go into chaos. When he walked into the portal going back, he went into a timeline where he was useless or dead quickly. No more shit future and Alex and everyone made it a better place. Therefore, Keira never had to go back in time, so she raised Sam in the better 2077 and that timeline is the one that leads to the time traveler's line so he could jump forward and get home. The only one screwed is Keira, stuck in the future with as a copy of an original, never being able to go into the public light AND having missed any chance with Fenegra, Brad or seeing Alex and Julian grow up... LOVED IT THO. It got long..

Great show. It got kinda messy in the second season with all those new characters and situations. I started missing the super suit features. But the women fighter skills oh my that was the best!

+PotatoAura If she tanned it would cause continuity problems. Most scenes are shot out of sequence. Her skin could end up darker and lighter in different scenes and episodes. A lot of the other actors could get away with a bit of tan but Kiera is pale skinned compared to the rest. There is also the possibility of heatstroke. If the actors are out in the sun without adequate protection they could end up collapsing on set.

+DeathlyZerg In that scene, the character is using Alec as a human shield. That bit is more likely to be a dress rehearsal where they make sure it all works and looks good. So as long as they are in position, the actors might as well have their lines handy.
