I learned this cause I was looking into printing jobs at one point. Yes your perception of colour changes as you get older. Basically its cause the fluid in your eyes gets yellower as you age. So being a colour proofer in printing is a young person's job.

I like to use what I have so i mix my peachy under eye corrector with black eyeshadow, it becomes this olivey grey and i LOVE IT

There's also an eyeshadow that I use and I couldn't tell what the undertone was, and after you showed that blend bunny one, I'm pretty sure mine has a purple undertone Thank you!!

I LOVE contour and it’s so hard to find a good cool toned contour in general, let alone one for medium skin tones. We need more real contour shades!

MUFE's Endless Cacao is my ride-or-die. I always find my way back to it, and question why I tried/bought! anything else. I love the shade on my skin tone, how effortlessly it blends out, and the ease of controlling the amount that I use. I can go super precise or do a bigger scribble where I need more oomph. I'd never considered using it on my face until I saw an MUA do it. It's genius.

I am a light neutral/olive, and I found that intuition from RdF is my perfect contour. It is so natural that I can't detect it once it's blurred out. Brilliant product! Anything more neutral in term of contour looks like a bronzer on me, and many bronzers are way too orange on my face. The yellow/green undertone of my skin doesn't like the red pigments in most bronzers. Also, people tend to forget that in most environments, a shadow tend to be more cool leaning, because of the blue hues of the sky that get refracted everywhere, so anything too warm will ultimately look artificial. EDIT: just a thought, but even though contour has been there for a looooong time now, I think the person that made it go viral online and made it exist to a broader/mainstream audience is Kim Kardashian, and she popularized that medium/neutral/warm tone of contour. Which for a lot of mainstream brands back then, was the way of making contour. But then people on both ends of the color spectrum (and let's not even mention undertones here) were quite left with only shades too dark or too light for them. So to me it kinda made sense that with the hype calming down, it came up to alternative/indie brands to cater for the broader color spectrum of people and makeup enthusiast (and particularly since makeup artists are used to mix all the time for their clients). Just some food for thoughts ^^

THANK YOU for confirming my suspicion about the Fenty Match Stix in Amber. I had an older one that sadly got stolen when my car got broken into back in July (along with most of my old makeup collection lol). After replacing it, I noticed my contour looked a little different/warmer than it used to. I had chalked it up to switching to a new blush as well but seeing the swatches confirmed that I'm not imagining it, it's definitely warmer!!!

I feel the exact same way. I am so pale and contour is my favorite. Especially gray. I missed the true cool tone of colors in make up so much. Please tell the people what a shadow is because it’s gotten so lost. 😅

A lot of the general make up brands make their “contour” warm so it’s actually a bronzer. Drives me bananas how everything cool or neutral are usually orange if you chance a different brand

I truly wish you toured and did makeup tutorials for women!!! I've always loved doing my makeup and getting loads of compliments but as my illnesses and medications have progressed I FIND IT SOOO HARD TO FIND MAKEUP THAT WORKS WITH MY SKIN TEXTURE AS WELL AS MY AGING SKIN AND THAT I'M NOT ALLERGIC TO!!! ..... I WAS ONE OF THOSE WOMEN THAT NEVER LEFT MY HOUSE WITHOUT MY JEWELRY, LIPS, MASCARA AND AT LEAST A TOUCH OF BLUSH AT THE VERY LEAST ON.... NOW I DON'T LEAVE THE HOUSE AT ALL!!! 😭😭😭💔💔

I've used Mac Omega eyeshadow as contour for quite a few years. A few months ago I got the Blend Bunny Forget Me Not palette and I agree it's so good! LA Girl Blush in Just Because is my favorite cool mauvey gray contour/blush hybrid. 🩶🩶🩶
