Contra 3: Stage 5 (hard)

This is a hateful level due to the sheer randomness of the enemies. The threat of walking off the cliff is also an irritation. The boss is simple at first, but becomes crazy when the ground starts to move.

I had almost forgotten about the fast turn... Been over a decade since I touched this game... Only time I had problems with it is when I was playing with someone. In those rare moments when I actually do lose a single life... game over... wtf?!? Jerk took all my lives... If I were to equate it to anything, I'd have to say playing CoD:BlOps (1 or 2) zombies with more or less derps, and you're carrying everyone. And the one time you get downed, the match ends because nobody can hold their own.

It's a pushover on normal, but I swear hard mode makes a normally fun game into a shitty and disorienting mess.

@@popplio7891 Hard Mode practically requires that you do a fast spin in the opposite direction of the sand trap's spin direction (you do fast spins by double-tapping the L- or R-button) - if you time this right, then you will always face the eye while you are spinning, and you can also avoid the flames by crouching.
