Bravo, fantastic artwork. I wanna say that this boss was the first boss I was so scared over. I remember walking down the long pathway and I had never even seen the boss at that point but I got so scared I paused the game and waited until my dad got home to beat the boss. He died of course, but the memory lives on.

Spartanu' because they're better off as classic masterpiece. You know how new age fans work: they whine. I guarantee you, with contra's difficulty, they'll downvote contra to death until its legacy turns to dust. Look at the whiners of Resident Evil Remastered for instance. They even got lower difficulty, defensive weapons and kerosine to make things easier which the original didn't have and they still whine, calling capcom all sorts of name and tarnishing the legacy of a classic. This is exactly what will happen to contra

This is what is possible Konami! I have already pre-ordered Ghosts and Goblins Resurrected! I hope MS buys out Konami. Remasters entire Contra series, TMNT Arcade/Turtles in Time, Simpsons Arcade Game, and Castlevania. Then MS licenses out Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill to Hideo Kojima to make proper sequels.

Oh, people, just think about how much time was spent to make such an improved version of the battle with the boss of the 6th level, which can be considered the greatest masterpiece? Now imagine how long it would take to do the rest? If such a dream turned into reality and was published, then this dream would be called "Contra Remastered", which would be released on PC and even on Android/iOS. If such a game did come out, then perhaps there will be a lot of positive reviews for it and they will write that this game is "The Best Remake of No.1" for the last 10 years after "Contra Evolution". Who agrees with my opinion, eh? I can 't hear you !

All so very impressive, I just noticed one thing on your otherwise flawless remastering. To me it seems that the border around the doorway wasn't meant to be flat. It looks to me like it should be cylindrical or even square protrusions with rounded corners. I could be wrong on this though.
