Thank the gods we got KZbin and other internet sources to give us those wonderful video game tunes, and epic remixes. You have no idea how hard it was to find VG OST's back in the 90's. My only recourse was taking a recorder and holding it up against the speaker of the TV while I let the music play

It is definitely nostalgic. I graduated in high school so we grew up with a lot of the same, and I got fed up with the mainstream 95. My friend got me into chiptunes around 2002-2003, especially with that old site Ocremix.

Most of what i listen to is from videogame soundtracks. My roommate and i buy retro and current games. Man games from back then had far better music cause due to hardware limitations composers had no choice but to be creative. Same can apply to the water level in donkey Kong Country, or this song from Contra Hard Corps that could be remixed into Techno without the dubstep.
