It's also great how Browny's hitbox is smaller than everyone else. I love watching Browny just standing there hanging tough when all the other characters have to take cover.

The funny thing is, that in the Japanese version, you can take up to -four- three hits before you die. So, the US version is the hardest :) Edit: it was three hits, me smol brain

Could you point to a time in the video when this happens? I think you probably just need to switch the video to 720p60, because you can't see both shots at 30fps.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean because both players are attacking the bosses. Perhaps you aren't playing the video on 720p60, so it looks like one of the players is just standing there.

@@VinodKumar-ye7ii It already did say best viewed in 60 fps, but I made a note of it. Although sometimes a video can be 30fps even though it says 720p60, I would still suggest always using the 60fps option on KZbin videos.

I never had a Genesis and I was never cut out of Contra availability due to Konami's Nintendo preference. That said, this Contra game has such a different vibe to it that it just seems weird to me. a lot of the visuals are in the vein of Contra 3, as is some of the level design. It basically looks like Contra; it seems to play like Contra; it sort of sounds like Contra, though missing decent music...I'm going to remain a system partisan and say Contra 3 was the better of the two. This one just seems to trade in bombast as its currency. If they just had those explosion bubbles raining constantly throughout the entire game, the effect would be the same as what actually happens, to my eye.

I know it a matter of opinion my for me this soundtrack murders contra 3. I like that they took a different direction and that spectacle is used constantly. Like a robot with a jetpack stops and train and then fights you on it cmon. Also there is so much replay -ability with the five different paths
