@@redcrimson1028 I just played the demo man (albeit briefly for about 15 minutes). Just from that taste alone, I can say it is enjoyable. Classic 2D Contra, HOWEVER there is a lot of new stuff to look forward to. New abilities, story and arcade mode, HP bar options?! (yeah that's there too) in addition to difficulty selection. And while I admittedly went into this thinking, oh, this will be a rehash of the original Contra but with more characters, I certainly don't feel that way now. These guys know what they're doing. While I do critique the art style and the character movement speed, these are personal nitpicks. I look forward to playing more when I get the chance. I recommend you try the demo for yourself. I'm definitely gonna pick this one up.

Lucia is most likely a nod to the Lucia robot that appears alongside Bill in Shattered Soldier and both Lucias are probably related in some way. Ariana is a nice addition to the roster and I'm thinking she's also related to the expanded storyline featured in Shattered Soldier.

Finally, a Contra game that goes back to the classic style. ❤️ The 3D era (starting around N64 when every franchise needed a 3D or "64" version) side-tracked a lot of IPs including Contra, and it's good when devs remembered why we enjoyed them. 👍

I feel most people who played ckntra and didnt read the manual didn't realize what the story was really about and this game could do a great job freshining up thr story since i guess this is a sort of retelling of thr story in a way? In that case I hope they keep the ominous secret message from red falcon once you beat the game. Hopefully this spawns retellings of contra 1-3 and hard Corps

Looks a lot better than that Rogue Corps junk they put out a few years back. Kind of like a modern HD version of Contra 1 on the NES mixed with the classic masterpiece Contra 3: The Alien Wars. I'll wait for reviews before I open my wallet though. Sadly I have to always be skeptical with Konami these days. The almighty, can do no wrong Konami I grew up with in the 80s and 90s does not exist any longer.

I wasn´t expecting much when I bought it. But when I played I realized how awesome it is. The graphics looks a little cartoonish but everything else was perfect. It´s a very challenging game wich I liked it. If you make an DLC please add Jaguar from neo contra.
