Maybe it's human nature, like reading a book...we start from left to right. I found that the same cells got searched when others never got examined. Staff walked onto the floor and began searches in the same directions we did counts. We repeat the same process, in the same direction, as we do for other visits. Even the physician assistant delivered medications taking this same route. Inmates also recognized this and knew where to hide contraband. Don't always start on the left (or the right) sometimes start in the middle. Be unpredictable. They normally don't hold grudges when you bust them right.

Yes, sir, Captain, we stayed on em hard but that's how you and me operated. I didn't walk to school 2 miles in the snow but what's happening to control in our jails and prisons today? I ask my self is it fixable and keep telling myself it is.

They are severely understaffed I drove through Georgia and their towers were empty and no roving patrol at 3 of the facilities I passed by, they need to raise that pay

Yes I did mention understaffed is a huge problem in all areas. Some of the higher ranks are gonna have to pitch in to make. Officer safety a big priority. No excuse for this much contraband. Thank you for mentioning this.

No one wants to enforce laws, because inmates have more rights.

You aint lying!! I use to work there, I quit last July!! They called me 2 days ago asking if I wanted to come back!! HELL NO!! A lot of officers are compromised and will put you at risk because you said no! And the prisoners run EVERYTHING!!

That is a terrible situation to be in. I see weak leadership and no discipline. No other way to put it. Stay safe and find a better agency to work for.

This will sound like a dumb question. But it seems every Facebook page, someone is advertising “K2 sheets”. How is that legal? Can’t the authority contact these people via phone numbers or trace the computer IP or something?

Yes they get away with it if no one reports it or Facebook does not pick up on it. They sell it on Craigslist coded messages, everywhere.
