Talassar Blue over the gold really was a fantastic tip. Would never have thought to try it, but it looks great and I can think of plenty of uses. Cheers!

I use contrast paints along with the GW conventional paints in a similar way. Not only a great tutorial but I also appreciate your modest and unassuming explanation - well done! Steve 🙂

For some reason this video I was obsessed with calling washes 'inks' despite never doing that normally SORRY!!! Hope this tutorial is helpful! Paints used; [Contrast] Wraithbone Undercoat, Guilliman Flesh, Black Templar, Talassar Blue, Apothecary White, Ultrmarine Blue, Magos Purple [Metals] Retributor Gold, Leadbelcher [Washes/Drybrush] Reikland Fleshshade, Nuln Oil, Ulthuan Grey [Basing] Eshin Grey, Dawnstone, Steel legion Drab

Could you tell me if you used Wraithbone out of a can or with an Airbrush? I have nothing but bad to say about Contrast Spraycans because it's awful. It pulls back from the edges, pools in recesses and dries wit a weird almost "carbonated" texture sometimes. I shook for 10 minutes straight, sprayed it properly (8" away), sprayed it in cooler but dry weather, in the day, in the shade. Also, great tutorial! I really enjoyed this one. Brits with a light cockney always sound good ;-)

Hi and thank you! I did indeed use the can, I don't own/know how to use an airbrush! I've never encountered any issues with the cans but that sounds horrible, especially since you've followed all the 'standard' directions!

@R P Lighting, I've got a big overhead light that I continually mess with as it flares out the camera. Literally any light colour will work though.

that talazr over gold is really nice. May do that for my stormcast as im thinking of a new chamber.

Definitely! I would definitely recommend maybe doing two coats with the contrast medium as those stormcast shields are big flat areas!

The gloss version is much better for metallics because itll just go into the recesses and the rest dries clear or gloss instead of the brown stain the regular reikland wash uses. I wish i tried it years ago, get it immediately lol
