Ep 148 - Contrite Heart - Angus says one of the most powerful figures in the bible is David who fell into adultery with Bathsheba. She fell pregnant and to cover it up, David had her husband and his men slain by putting them in the front line of battle. We know what happened then, David married Bathsheba, the child was born and subsequently died. David was broken in spirit and had a contrite heart and begged God for forgiveness. God forgave him and look at the mighty man of God he became, even writing the Psalms. No matter how bad you think you’ve been if you turn back to God He will forgive you and pick you up.
