Control anything with KNX through Home Assistant

Hi, great video on KNX and HA. I am setting my own system up right now. Do you know how to send a Day/Night object from HA to the KNX bus (a bool depending on sun)? i want to have different modes from a motion sensor during day and night. And can you do a session on KNX HA HUE? like on/off, changing scenes and things like that from a KNX push button via HA to HUE?

Thank you for your comment! One easy way it will be in automations to select Trigger Type "Sun" : Sunrise or Sunset with an offset if you like and then Action will be "Call Service" with service "KNX: Send to KNX bus" and type the Group Address that you want. Or maybe you can select as Trigger Type Time and set a fixed time. I will try to make also a video for KNX and Philips Hue through Home Assistant.

Hi, great video ... this gave me an idea. Currently I can't control my Somfy IO screens with KNX . But I tried your automation (with some adjustments) and it works. Now I can control the screens with any knx sensor I want ... especially the weather station, this can now send a command to close the screens when it's very sunny outside.

Love your videos! I started to integrate my knx home into HA thanks to your videos. The only thing that i dont get to work is my PIR motion sensors (Zennio EyeZen TP). I tried to add them as: binary_sensor: name: "Name PIR" device_class: 'Motion' state_address: '3/7/201' I also tried: binary_sensor: name: "Name PIR" state_address: '3/7/201' Can you help me on how to add this to HA?

I also tried adding my KNX motion sensors in Home Assistant as a sensor but I couldn't. If you look in ETS a motion sensor is not a sensor at all, it's basically a switch with some extra logic (time based, lux, ...). You could probably add is a switch and change the icon to a motion sensor in HA. I didn't bother to add it though so not sure if that works.

Hi, nicely done. But why not use expose in knx config to send the state of the wifi plug to the knx bus? This would be simpler and less time consuming especially when tryong to integrate lots of devices into the knx bus
