Hate that we live in a time where it's difficult to tell if this is self promotion, bot responses, or someone authentically getting so much out of this. I haven't watched yet so I'm eager for the info, but I have a bad habit of scrolling through the comments before I can invest myself. I already hit the like button to compensate for what's not a valuable comment for the channel owner

Is there an exercise to feel how open or closed your jaw is? I heard that some languages have more open or closed jaw positions and I would like to know how to feel that. Also, will you be doing any lessons about oral posture/voice placement. I've been doing a lot of reading about that and it seems that it's vital to sounding like a native. Even after learning the phonemes of my target language, I still struggle to sound anywhere close to a native and I struggle immensely with understanding people.

I have been reviewing the free material you have put online and really appreciate that you do that. I find your approach intriguing. I have been studying French with a tutor for about 4 years. I also speak French with my wife who was born and raised in France. I am 77 yrs old and wear hearing aids. Do you think I can still learn how to mimic?

Everyone can improve at mimicking with training. And every improve in mimicking translates to more flow in conversation.

I have 2 questions about mimic method. A. Do you still recommend the creation of scripts to supplement conversations with natives to make the common stuff sound more fluid or would you rather spend that time on dialogue creation and native conversations? And B. Whats a good portion of dialogue creation to native conversations?

In my new approach i do a lot of role play theater with native speaker. So you go in, build the scene and loose script with the native, and then continually rehearse the scene over and over with some but not too much variation until your comfortable with it. Its less about memorizing scripts and more about mastering scenes - scripts are just one of many tools to help you master the scene/context.

@@MimicMethod thank you. Thats very helpful to have an emphasize on having agency on a scene by practicing through role play.

Quick question bro, how do you make the R sound without the tap or trill? I see people saying they struggle to trill their Rs and that they don't tap their Rs either and instead they just produce it with the tongue lift back. I can't seem to pronounce it in any way lol i think its a speech impediment but is it curable?

You should do a short "demostration video" proving you actually speak 7 languages. So far, i've only heard you speak pourtuguese on someone elses channel.
