Yeah I actually loved this episode, the owners were really great, just made some easy mistakes. They were clearly committed to Bailey, though, and even the husband who was upset still played with and walked him, and in the end it was obvious the whole family loves their dogs.

Honestly out of all of the episodes on this channel (and I've seen them all), these owners are hands-down the best ones yet. Those two are real adults, seeing marriage as a real, life-long commitment, where you work through your problems together and never forget you’re on the same team. They seem to all have their heads on straight, and that’s just nice to see in the this day and age let alone this show. Edit: Well, emotionally anyway. Don’t feed your pets from your own fork. Ew.

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. A self-respecting man would never let it come to this point. To be banned out of his own couch and bed by 4-pound little dog is just absurd! And his wife condoning this behavior from the dog is also ridiculous. Fortunately, this ended happily because the whole family changed this ridiculous behavior. And they listened to the common sense advice from Victoria. Let's hope they don't spoil the new puppy rotten and recreate the same bad situation again.

Couldn't agree more. I have a toy poodle puppy and I'm currently potty training him. He is kinda pee pad trained but we are transitioning to taking him out now that he is fully vaccinated. Unfortunately, I can only take him outside about 3 times a day since I have a heavy workload. My mum doesn't know a lot about dog training and she used to be very afraid of dogs so I don't ask her to take him out. She wouldn't know what to do if they ran into another bigger dog. And my dad, who has the time to take him outside, doesn't want to just because he is a toy breed. There is no breed that is a "girly dog". When I was walking two German pointers no one said that's a boys dog - cause there is no such thing! A dog is a dog.

These parents spoil everything they touch. They don’t understand dogs need a routine and leadership to feel content and happy otherwise like Bailey they assume leadership which is very stressful for them. At least they were open to rectify the problem and train their dog eventually. The mum is to blame. It’s in a way selfish thing to do. You need to do what’s best for the dog and the family and that’s training and sticking to a routine. Dogs are eager to please and enjoy training as they are interacting with their owners. I’m glad Bailey is doing much better now. So it’s great they were willing to put in changes to benefit everyone.

I gotta say that the dog eating from the table thing is definitely ridiculous, but when it comes to small behavioral things like play time and how to sit on the couch, I don't think too many people would notice right away what the issue is unless if they were testing it out on a daily basis with different techniques. Then again, you could say something like simple research would probably be of benefit. At least these owners were on the same page and clearly loved their dog to bits despite his small and easy to fix issues :)

People seem to never realize. Dogs are alive. You need to work with them. You need to win their trust. And owner needs to reward and reprimand to teach them. Do you let your children tell you want to do. They say no to school you don't take them?
@feraflauna3238
@feraflauna3238 5 жыл бұрын
+Q Speed Racer-In a way, raising a little child is not too far removed from raising a dog. Depending on your point of view, one of them is far easier. For me, that would easily be dogs. :D. Because all dogs deep down want to make their owners happy and look for ways to please them. Kids don't always have that incentive, they're not to please you, and they will decide they're just going to do whatever they want whenever they want. I've actually faced that kind of problem with my first niece. She is a bright, sweet little girl, but she is also larger than life and VERY demanding. I was one of the few people willing to tell her early on NO. Not because I didn't love her but because she needed to know that she can't always get what she wants. The first few years of her life, because very people were willing to tell her no, she just went into complete meltdown tantrums, and/or ran over, cried to Mommy or Nana, knowing that they would probably give her what she wanted. It took years to get my mom and my sister to agree to tell her no. She's finally accepted it better that she can't always get what she wants, but it is still a huge struggle to get her to want to listen. Likewise with dogs, you have to set rules early on. You have to be willing to tell a dog NO. That like a baby, dogs can't always get what they want whenever they want. Be firm but be gentle. Having rules in place helps the kids/dogs and actually makes them far happier.

PLEASE NO GARLIC. Small amounts like what Victoria was doing is completely fine; but you have to consider the audience's stupidity factor. Many people, especially the impatient ones will think: "Add more garlic so my dog eats," which can get to a toxic level really REALLY fast if not portioned very carefully. This is why I don't agree with some trainers encouraging advanced feeding techniques to dogs/cats. Albeit fine if at a moderate and low dose, I don't trust my idiot neighbors with a screwdriver let alone any home meals for their dogs.

People think its “cute”. My neighbors chihuahua runs loose and attacks peoples ankles who jog by. If my doberman did that it would be making front page news and my dog destroyed. People always say “well, a Doberman can do more damage”. Does that matter? The small dog is still biting, and my grandma was actually bit on the face by a small dog and needed stitches and almost lost her eye. So, they can do damage, and breaking skin (no matter the damage) is not good. But its “sooo cute, he thinks he is tough”...

Blue Hunter exactly what I’m saying. No dog should be allowed to be aggressive, but big dogs face all the stigma.

This seems like a really nice family. A lot of the episodes I've seen have families who don't accept responsibility for what's happening, or who blame each other. This family seems really eager to fix their own behavior, and they support each other whilst doing it. I don't think there was any hostility between family members.
