Control OBS with PowerPoint Hotkeys

Use PowerPoint to control OBS scene transitions. A PowerPoint script can be used to send hotkeys to OBS to select which scene is displayed.

Great job! This worked perfectly. As you indicated in a comment below I just changed "Public Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long)" to "#If VBA7 Then Declare PtrSafe Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As LongPtr)". The only note is that the keyboard arrow keys have stopped working in the PowerPoint presentation.

mine doesn't work...my script in module turn into red color (Public Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long) when i clicked Alt+F1 inside OBS, my slide didn't change with camera. Pls help..

I couldn't reproduce the error, but a quick google search returned this possible solution. replace Public Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long) with #If VBA7 Then Declare PtrSafe Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As LongPtr) #Else Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long) #End If

Thanks for asking. Yes it is possible to send OBS commands from another pc. The tool OBSCommand does exactly that. The OBSCommand install instructions are here obsproject.com/forum/resources/command-line-tool-for-obs-websocket-plugin-windows.615/ Once OBSCommand is installed, the PowerPoint script would need to be modified to send OBSCommands instead of hot keys.

I don’t have experience with PowerPoint for Mac. The script uses the Windows “send key” command. There may be alternate code for Mac, but I’m not aware.

I was certainly after the exact information as I used the same setup to livestream our Sunday Mass but just couldn't automate OBS & PowerPoint the way you've just demonstrated but not to worry - hopefully I find a Mac-based solution.
