Ride your horse's canter better! This clip teaches you how to adjust the speed and length of the canter stride using your seat. Ideal to refine your riding skills by building more awareness. Improve your canter seat and your understanding of how your seat influences the horse in the gait and in transitions in and out of the canter.

You are amazing! You say some very similar things as my instructor, glad i found you, i am taking a break for financial reasons, but am starting back soon and this is excellent to refresh what i have learned so far from my instructor! The J idea is very helpful!

I like to think of a receiving feeling in the hands. The energy that is created in the hind legs flows over the topline and into the contact. We don't want to take and shut that down nor do we want it to escape away either.

@@reflectionsfromthesaddle Maybe an episode about transitions and how to connect hindlegs and pelvis in them. Would love to hear your thoughts about that.

@MMM-tr3cm sounds like a great idea! we've had so much snow and below freezing temps but as soon as I can get back in the saddle (meaning when the arena is rideable) I will put a video series together.
