I will be thinking about this option when I try to light my dark fiddle yard. I think it will work very well. Video was well done and I do like tour content.

Thank you. I am Looking at improving this concept. I may have to do a access all areas layout tour

Thanks for a nice video. In answer to your question about what I use: 1; Philips Hue which was directly controlled from RocRail. 2; Have long wanted to test the PacoDCC DCCtoDMX decoder (the DCC system sees the decoder as a locomotive decoder).

DMX nice. I do have a DCC to DMX decoder I need to dust it off and have a play

Hi Daz. Enjoyed your video and found it very interesting. You have way more automation using TrainController than I am up to. I have a small DCC HO system using TrainController Gold 10 and Roco Z21 & Digikeijs modules. I am setting up a Faller Car system on the train board using an Arduino and the same Relay 8x unit as you have. For the Arduino I am using the ArCoMora software Mardec to switch the Car System sensors on/off for different vehicles and roads from TrainController. I am also setting up track signals using Arduinos and the ArSigDec S/w. With TrainController I operate schedules + plus manual shunting operations. I have Fleiscmann Profi HO track and uncouplers, plus Fleischmann and ESU locos with digital couplers and Roco universal couplers to do wagon shunting and assembly of trains, using TC to build the train composition. All good fun. Cheers Graham from Sydney.

That’s really awesome Mardec stuff is so good. You need to become a member of our TC Facebook group. It’s run by me and another Ozzy chap

Have you checked out MQTT? I know some people do not like it because it is wireless control, but I have added some relays to my model railroad control system that I can control via JMRI and hence DCC or a touch screen.

Hi Heath. I have played with MQTT but TrainController does not support it. I will need to look at some work around.

@@ModelRailroadTechniques I have a drawer of Han’s Tanner projects :) I have started laying track on RT2.0, so I should be able to get back to some electronics projects shortly.
