@@louiewithapenno doubt, mine comes in today. I have a question regarding sample time. Is it 20 seconds per pad, per project, or how does it work? How did you utilize the sample time in this particular project?
@louiewithapen8 ай бұрын
it’s 20 seconds per pad, but the memory fills up quickly if you’re recording the entire 20 seconds on each pad. For this beat and all of the others, I started by listening to the song and selecting little pieces, maybe 2 to 3 seconds in duration, and sampling them. Or I’ll sometimes sample something a bit longer and make multiple chops out of it. It just varies. Whatever way that you can efficiently sample and optimize the storage space will work. Also, recording the sample in Mono rather than Stereo conserves a lot of space, but the quality isn’t as good. Just depends on what the project calls for. All that to say, if you plan out your samples and chops accordingly then you won’t have any issues with memory, nor will you ever really require an entire 20 second sample. I’ll be making a tutorial soon to show the entire process!

It's technical !!! Your live makes me want to know more about this machine.. !!! 🔥
@louiewithapen8 ай бұрын
It definitely is! But try not to worry about all of the functions and technical stuff at first. Just experiment and familiarize yourself with it enough to make a beat that you like. Use the EP consistently and you’ll grow comfortable and learn your way around the machine in no time!

Thanks! I could do that. It would be a long video though. The whole process from finding a sample to chopping and adding drums etc takes a good while.
