Yeah, when I was younger (even younger than I am now), sympathetic snare buzz, induced snare buzz, drove me NUTS. Turns out, it is really no big deal. Just take care of a couple common sense parameters, and it really isn't much of an issue at all. Unless you're that sound guy who absolutely can't live without micing the snares. To me, that's like micing a squeaky throne, or a creaking cymbal stand. Tune that snare nice and tight, make sure the toms are not too close to the snare in pitch, make sure the bottom snare head is extra tight. Done!
