I just came back from the circuit. What an amazing battle those two had... I've never seen something that spectacular in live motoracing. They were assuming a lot of risk there but always clean and nice. Glad to see next year the championship will end up in Jerez again!

@@verdeboyo I've seen many times MotoGP but this is really good because bikes are still really fast, good riders, circuit wasnt packed, everything was cheap... no rush, waiting times, etc... And the tickets were 30€ for the full weekend with VIP status and access to pitwalk. I mean was awesome.

I was there, too. Stunning race. To me, there really is no comparison between WSBK and MotoGP as far as value is considered. I go to GPs, and I like those too, but a proper WSBK scrap, the way the battles are fought is just...better, I have to say. And you get the same sense of speed and amazing sound and most of the time much better racing action for a lot less money. And the field for next year is absolutely stacked.

@@macsmith6216 The advantage was the entry into the last corner with tighter entry with carrying so much speed that pushed him outside. Before the "green" paint on circuits for the security, there would have been a gravel or grass next to the curb. Probably Toprak would save if it was grass on full acceleration :). Therefore, the rule of not stepping into the green on the last lap, not to mention the last corner exit.

The rule is “if you touch the green paint on the last lap you lose one position” (or words to that effect). It literally applies to every single rider and others have been penalised earlier in the season. I was gutted for Toprak but there is no robbery or controversy here, just people showing how biased and easily offended they are.

@@XpliciteSportsPS4 First thing - it’s the same for everyone. They all know the rule and it’s the same punishment whoever does it so all that you just said is irrelevant. The reason the rule is different for the last lap is that people were starting to take the piss and run wide to carry more speed on the last lap, and there’s sometimes no way for the others to fight back afterwards so a blanket rule was made and set in stone so that people didn’t cut the track or run wide to carry speed and win/gain a place on the last lap. Like I said, it’s not open to interpretation and the ALL know if they go off track on the last lap they will be dropped a place. The alternative is to let them just do what they want and people will start cutting corners or running off track to gain an unfair advantage and if they allow that then what’s the point of having a defined race track?

Next year tiny Bautista will have to carry nearly 10 KG of extra weight because of a new 2024 80 kg minimum rider weight rule, so lets see how this will play out against the amazing but much heavier Toprak next year ! That is not to say that Bautista is not one of the best ,but I am sure Toprak is better!

Whether you like it or not Bautista is world champion and twice in a row too. Rinaldi with the same bike as Bautista and measuring practically the same has 377 points less than Bautista. Redding and Davies with the same bike did not win a world championship. Enough criticizing Bautista out of envy.

What a brilliant race, Absolutley wrong decision from the stewards but Toprak took it like the sportsman he is. I almost feel like it was just so that Bautista would get his treble at home to win the championship. Oh well, we all know Toprak really won. It is not wrong decision. These are the rules. Binder is the proof as well. In terms of gaining or loosing in this particular case if you ride on track you know that your point of entry dictates point of exit. Shallower entry wider exit and vice versa. Toprak squized inside and when opened throttle it was inevitable to go wide. So the advantage was at corner entry and thus he went on green. Sad for him but just decision.

His frontwheel is on the curbstones as the rider wished it to be, so the penalty is unrealistically given. A drift from the backwheel cannot be a profit to win this race, the rules are NUTS! On all the racing done in the World, we see this limiting-rule is a stupid solution for making the green parts next to the curbstones to grippy. This commity should do their homework better.
