Had to stop watching after the Japan / Spain one. The fact that you omitted the crucial bird's eye view that shows part of the edge of the ball was over the line (and thus the ball was in), and instead only showed the ambiguous clips to make it seem more controversial, is just deceptive.

The whole ball must be over the whole line
@jaxsonbateman
@jaxsonbateman 2 ай бұрын
@@markball406 Exactly! There's the graphic that shows the ball was veeery slightly over the line, meaning it didn't go out. Don't get me wrong; it absolutely looks out if you don't have that birds eye view, but when you see it you know it's not controversial at all (now, you could argue the rule itself is controversial - I don't, but I could imagine some people would say "if the ball isn't touching the line it should be out" - but with the rules as they are combined with the evidence, there's no controversy).
@islahartel9304
@islahartel9304 Ай бұрын
 the video is about controversial moments. The video isn’t providing an answer to the moments just the moment and why it was controversial. At the moment, all we had were the views shown. It wasn’t until later we found out they had goal line technology and VAR confirmed that it was still inbounds. This was still absolutely controversial. There’s nothing deceptive about calling this a controversial moment.
@jaxsonbateman
@jaxsonbateman Ай бұрын
@@islahartel9304 I'd argue it wasn't controversial. It's only controversial if you don't show the birds-eye clip - which the channel conveniently didn't do. If you show that clip, you see that the ball isn't entirely out. Ball not being out = still in, so the call of it being in isn't controversial at all.

Try to look at it from their side. They are 1 ref on a field trying to watch 22 grown men. If you compare it to another sport with similar number of players like American football who has 7 refs and 2 in the booth for 22 players. This has 3 refs and 1 VAR ref for 22 players. Shit is gonna be missed. Sure fifa could add more refs but no one wants that. I don’t think they are trying to be egotistical but they are only human. Every call they make is gonna make someone unhappy. 90+ minutes of verbal abuse from every side. Add in that now people slow down and measure every millimeter to prove their point…give them a break

What really gets up my nose is when referees or assistant referees make a mistake, that is quite obviously the wrong decision, they usually get away with it, yes they might get a slapped wrist or something else that is not really a punishment, and yet when the players get angry and upset because of the referees mistake and challenge the referee or line runner, they can be booked or sent off, and if the FA decide to have a disciplinary hearing they can be fined or suspended, okay the money is nothing for the players in the highest level of the leagues but in the lower tiers it could make a huge difference to the player/club, but if a player gets a suspension then that hurts their reputation and pride, something that they do not like at all, it just seems extremely unfair and one sided,

So even if you’re running and you naturally run with your arms up, it would still be a handball. The only exception is if you put your arms out to brace a fall, it’s not a handball. 3:51 . Come on how can that be wrong decision. Basically, it's his game, he gets whatever he wants. One day, we see Argentina get penalty for committing foul in Argentine box. After the world cup, nothing of these feel unjust.

Not an arsenal fan but the red card for rice was ridiculous

The standard of refereeing in UK is embarrassing. Bet they just change their mind every other week on every same decision. Notice how Man City always seem to benefit from referees but then lose their rag when something doesn't go their way...

You can’t technically give a card for foul for something that happens after the play is blown dead

Yes you can. You can actually give a card even after the game ends and at half time. The only time a ref can’t give a card is before the game or before the ref enters the field.

That Michael Oliver and refs like him. Shouldn't go unpunished for this disgrace acts and decisions

This video could've easily have been all games of Argentina at the 2022 World cup. They were made kings by most of the organisation and many refs didn't dare to stand up to this plan.
