***SPOILERS*** I have very, very little to say about this one. Great roleplaying all around, of course, and we got to meet Sarestra Lillit. Given the amount of task assignment/planning, positioning of troops, "setup," etc. in the episode, I think I'll have to wait to see more of how she behaves and reacts in other situations to get a feel for her. 3llebelle is awesome, so I figure the character will be great. One thing I'm finding pretty entertaining in this series thus far is Minerva's way of speaking so "pleasantly" about everything, all while dancing around verbiage which highlights the "ugly" reality of their world. Even saying "purge" is something she hesitated to state, and I find a certain fun in her approach, as opposed to the incredibly direct and callous attitude one would expect. It's like yes, she's having horrible things done and condones it, but you would never imagine it based solely on the persona she puts up, and I find something entertaining about that to me. My favorite moment in the episode was when Sareth realized that Helestri went behind her back to speak to Minerva. I immediately took pity on Helestri, as she's been pushing interesting ideas and could dabble in such fun heresy which could lead to ruin or solutions, but unfortunately for her, Sareth is quite skilled at being a commanding officer/professional bully. Speaking of which, after seeing Katt as both Sesha and Sareth, I have to say that Katt roleplays an antagonistic co-protagonist quite well. At this point in the series, she seems to be Helestri's greatest enemy, which is pretty interesting considering they're in the same faction fighting an eternal war against daemons and xenos. The end of the episode promises a journey into the mines, finally, which I'm curious to check out. I'm unsure what it was that Helestri failed to detect, but hopefully something spiffy will happen as a result (spiffy for us, probably something 'not-super' for the party!). We'll have to see what happens in the next one! Until then, hopefully everyone has a good rest of your week.
