Not sure exactly why. But when they sing "I reach my cold arm across the bed. *You make no move. You never do*". Those simple words are (to me) some of the saddest most misery invoking words ive ever heard. They truly embody the entirety of a loveless relationship. Its miserable. But beautiful how its so simply put.

+jim hemp Hmm, I think I know what you're talking about. This band has a lot of atmosphere, emotion and their melodies are more dysfunctional and eerie sounding... Red Sea - ISIS has a feeling similar to this. Check that song/band out along with others such as ZAO - Intro, Norma Jean - Pretty Soon I Don't Know What but Something is Going to Happen, Old Man Gloom - Gift, Omegas Massif - Unter Null, Deftones - Battle Axe, GAZA - Routine and Then Death etc
