I have recently been thinking a lot about the role of Christians in government and culture. It's amazing that America and, more generally, the West were built on Christianity but we have somehow got to a point where the society turned it's back on God and actively seeks to destroy the Christian foundations. I really struggled with Romans 13:1-7, where Paul writes that all authority is appointed by God and serves him. I keep wondering how our nation could so blatantly and abruptly turn it's back on God.

This is a pretty bad summary of Christian nationalism and the post mil viewpoint. A few big misses: 1. Post mil’s don’t believe that the return of Christ will not have 100% Christians on earth, there will be a good chunk of unbelievers, but a majority Christians. So yes when Christ returns he will have to separate the wheat from the tares. 2. Preterists believe that Rev 19 is a spiritual building of the kingdom and he in does conquer kingdom spiritually. Hence the figurative language of conquering with of a sword coming out of his mouth (preaching of the word). If he is supposed to return as he ascended, I don’t remember him having a sword in his mouth or ascending on a white horse.. (Acts 1:10-11) 3. Most Christian nationalists believe that revival is needed like you mentioned Doug Wilson does but they also believe that the Law is used as a tutor of the will of God. Galatians 3:24.
