Conversation with Chase Baird - The Common Issues

When looking at the new generation of wind synth players, Chase Baird is definitely one to count in! I've been following him for a couple of years now with Antonio Sanchez's Migration band and with Circuit Kisser, really enjoying his output as a performer and programmer. Although I had a different plan with this conversation, it took to a different turn where Chase beautifully and honestly outlined the common issues upon introduction to wind synthesis, something I could personally relate to and I suppose others as well.

The vibrato sensor on the ewi is, to me, unusable, because it only gives a momentary change. The shape and speed of the vibrato is not controllable with the bite sensor. I got rid of it, and use only thumb vibrato.
