The cast of Lee Isaac Chung’s critically acclaimed family drama Minari received MFF’s 2020 Ensemble Cast Spotlight Award. The film’s standout cast includes Korean-American actor Steven Yeun, who led 2018’s Burning to immense critical acclaim, alongside Yeri Han, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Scott Haze, and Will Patton. I loved all the actors in Minari and the film as well. Also, I gotta give special props to the two child actors, Alan S. Kim and Noel Cho. "True pros" as Lee Isaac Chung describes them. I also loved it that the film didn't take a political stance such as being very "left" or "right". The film simply told an honest story about the struggles of trying to make it in life, in the US or anywhere in this world. And as someone already mentioned in a similar vein in a separate article, it's not some much about the story, but it's about "how the story is told". Congrats to Lee Isaac Chung and his crew.
