The Funk brothers in the Pit were the reasons why there were so many hits. The singers were great too. With the original Funk Brothers they played Latin and Jazz before Motown. That music was Soulful.

I love the work he did with Phil Collins on his covers album Going Back.

This is a cool dude. I met him in Bonn Germany. I got a chance to get on stage and sing My Girl with the Funk Brothers. Billy Preston was on the organ. Ed Willis, Joe Hunter (Pop), Joe Messina were really laid back and approachable. I was so honored to be in their presence. Wish you the best Eddie!

Bizarre opening to the video..Did this woman (his wife?) not know they were doing an interview? She just chats away like a bird while he is being asked questions, LOL! Would've been better if you'd let us know what singles he was featured in or had solos in. I have a feeling that was him in the intro to "It's a Shame" by The Spinners wen they were on Motown.
