SYNOPSIS
Everyone has secrets…and Olivia Pope has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite by keeping those secrets under wraps. Pope’s team are at the top of their game when it comes to getting the job done for their clients, but it becomes apparent that these “gladiators in suits” who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, have trouble fixing those closest at hand, their own.

My favorite scenes always feature Fitz and Olivia. Even in this interview you can see that the two actors have a mutual trust, respect, and friendship that translates well on camera. It's rare to see on television.

Of course there is no conspiracy. But even if the cast keep owning a kind of liberty, all of what they talk about in interviews are decided before. Here, there are Jake's actor AND Fitz, so they just can't take a side. Furthermore, it's not the subject. And yes, they are trying to make people love Olake through the serie, cast's interviews and tweets. To make a serie like scandal working, each character has to have his fans. Shonda do it brilliantly! =) We are able to prefer whoever we want, but our choices are inevitably motivated by something

I'm the only one who notices the little Kerry and tony moments. At 1:40 Jeff says a really boring joke and both Kerry and tony don't laugh so she smiles and "boops" (when you bump in to someone without physically hurting them) to tony. Then at 6:12 they both start laughing about how the struggle is to work with tony as a director and he "boops" Kerry back. :)

I just gotta say, Bellamy looks SO good. Idk is it her tan that upped her face game..? But man, it is STRONG. And I really love her character. Melly is made of like, 550 different layers, all good and bad and ugly mixed into this beautiful, REAL human being. You can be intimidated by her, hate her guts, and feel sorry for her all in one breath. I love how they write Melly, and how Bellamy portrays her.

@@neusastranghette9456 - That phone sex scene, Tony has said at interviews, it floored him at the table read, that this is not happening.. It was very out there. Tony said he was so embarrassed doing the scene and there was a young crew member lady sitting near where he was walking saying those words. Shonda really knows how to write heavy love scene or material. Tony and Kerry did a good job. 10 years later people are still re-watching the show and commenting.

Someone mentioned above that they are intentionally not mentioning OLITZ scenes because Shonda wants to keep the ridiculous Jake storyline going. As if OLAKE scenes are even in the same category with OLITZ. Jesus, even Stevie Wonder can tell the difference! In the past on several occasions Tony said that Deskgate (Fitz and Olivia making love in the Oval) was his favorite scene and on the campaign bus when he said, "What can coward was I to marry her (Mellie) and not wait for you to show up". I guess the Shonda must think Olitz fans have come down with dementia.

I love both Olitz and Olake for different reasons...Olitz taps into that intense, my heart aches for you type of love...whereas Olake reaches that what kind of head case am I for be hot for this broken, crazy, lying, quiet, sadistic, violent, killing machine. Both are incredibly loving, passionate, nurturing and protective of Olivia...but the way they love her and make love to her is so different. Jake is rough and Fitz is gentle but both are delicious and addictive. The writers are phenomenal and the actors portrayal is nothing short of magic.

This panel was SO worth watching! All of the answers were interesting and I found the whole very entertaining. And man Tony is SO smart and fun and hot and hot and hottttt ahaha I could listen to him for hours! I also really appreciated Kate Burton's speech about the first time she auditioned for grey's anatomy, I am a big fan of the show and her words kind of moved me. I also love Paul Adelstein so much! He seems to be such an amazing guy (hot too :P) Well they all seem to be such good people, I love the fact that they are so united! I was a bit surprised because nobody mentioned any of the breathtaking Olitz scenes.... however that's fine, they talked about amazing scenes anyway. Oh and Bellamy looked stunning!

Jake and Olivia aren't meant to be together. Shonda made it her duty to have us fully invested in fitz & Olivia's relationship from the get go. They are just meant to be. When jake and Olivia come on, it's cute. We smile and think it's innocent and sweet, but when fitz & Olivia come on.. It's like we feel it within us. Their love and chemistry is just undeniable. Our eyes are just glued to the tv when there harmony comes on (the light by the album leaf) & it touches our hearts literally. We feel it. It would be a shame if shonda decided to break all our hearts and keep this jake and Olivia thing going. Make Vermont happen dammit

shortyjo Nope she said Olivia doesn't know that love isn't supposed to hurt, she didn't say she didn't know what love is, there is a difference. Booyah! This could mean a number of things in terms of Liv and Fitz, IE finishing his term and getting a divorce before they can truly be together because there is no doubt that they are meant to be together. Shonda said they are soulmates and how or if they'll get there she has no idea. And also they have said that they planned a presidential divorce in season 1. Mellie was only supposed to be in 1 or 3 eps so clearly Olitz was the plan since the beginning but I suppose they saw the popularity and controversy the affair dynamic brought so they kept it alive for 2 season before bringing more complexity to it on that doomed episode where Jake popped up. When did you start watching btw? I am not asking if you watched all seasons I am asking when you began watching? 2013? 14?

I really love how all of the actors are so intertwined in Shonda Land. Cooper from private practice. Kate and Jeff from Greys anatomy. Scott from Greys anatomy. I just love how each of them can play different roles but one will always stick out. I feel like Leo and cooper are about alike and very different. Both hilarious characters but one is a shark and the other reminds me of a goldfish lol. Henry vs Jake. I will never not look at Scott foley and not see Jake. He has done an amazing job with this role. Thatcher vs Cyrus. Jeff plays Cyrus and he was made for that role. Thatcher might as well be another Actor in my eyes. Kate... she has the same personality and intensity that she had in both roles I’d Ellis/ Sally. I will always see her as Ellis Grey because that was her beginning role but damn they all are just amazing. Claps for them

Camille Cooper At 53:55 Bellamy is talking about the second episode Shonda is telling Bellamy that there would be a presidential divorce. Bellamy knew in the first season that there was to be a divorce. Shonda also said Mellie would only be in three episodes but you can see that changed but the divorce is eminent, that has not changed.

Nadine Trass I heard that but, I didn't apply it to the *current* Scandal storyline because Shonda has changed *so much* from the original canon. And I just *can't* trust her to bring us back to the *fixer/OPA & OLITZ TRUE LOVE* that we fell in love with. During the Oprah Special last year, she commented on how she lost control/let the *very vocal/pushy fans* take over Greys Anatomy & she had to take her show back. Some part of me is *VERY* apprehensive, on one hand, I think we'll suffer because she is *determined* to remain *in control* of her own creation, however, by *forcing this contrived/sickening/imaginary/please save me BULLSHIT Jake/Olivia story* to appease a *certain fan base* gives me a *lil* bit of hope that she will return to what/who catapulted Scandal in the hit show it has become, who knows.

Camille Cooper I'm Olitz forever, but I too, see them pushing the Olake relationship and it's scaring me. In the 2015 SCANDAL calendar, Olake, NOT Olitz is the ONLY couple that has a page. Also, a recent Redbook Magazine had an Olake article (Terry & Scott together). I'm going to have to give up Scandal if Olitz cease to exist. Their chemistry is what drew me to the show. And tbh, there's 0 chemistry/passion between Liv and Jake.
