I am always so blown away by your scope, and staying open to music around you. I still am learning from your book "^ Black Blues Guitarists". I also have your DVD, "The Guitar of Blind Blake". I realize now, it's all about finding your own, particular groove. Not get all caught up in trying to play and sing, exactly like the record. I have the Kicking Mule album where you play Bo Carter's "Old Devil", and Josh White's "Good Gal". I also have a lot of old Yazoo records, where you so often, explained the chords, and tunings of many songs. I have the album, "Mama Let Me Lay It On You", where I first heard "Good Gal", in open "E", or open "D", sung by Josh White. Now I use the Internet to hear the recordings of the original, songs in your book, and see others posting how to do, and their own versions. I have to find out where I can view the film on Rev. Gary Davis. Is it on the Web? Keep making your music, Woody, and so graciously sharing all the tradition that are a part of your roots.
