I just got my pair (white, because it’s classic) today and I love them. I’m 6’2” and these things make me 6’3”, not 6’4” like the guy in the video stated. But they look cool, just like they did when I was 15, back in 9th Grade, also wearing my Levi’s & Hang Ten tee shirt (grew up in Florida) on the first day of school. I loved those first pairs of Cons (we never called them Chuck Taylors because even though it was 1973, nobody ever heard of him) and worn a pair ALL THE TIME that I wasn’t in uniform or wearing my hiking boots. But I wore Chuck Taylors until I turned about 23, I think. So that means this is my first pair in 40 years.

I bought these, they were very comfortable to walk in, and usually when you wear converse you become shorter but these increased my height by a lot haha. The star on the back was super neat, It felt like I was walking on jelly platforms

Thank you so much for this cool and informative video! So actually, when it comes to someone's height, we use metres in Europe - thus, we'd say you're 1.90m, not 190cm. But thank you for converting the measures^^ it makes it a lot easier for us to quickly understand. I own two pairs of the runstar hike...what I've noticed is, that they're probably one of the worst shoes to wear if it's rainy weather...the soles are unbelievably slippery - especially when walking on copple stone. Anyways. Love to see more videos of you. Good luck and a happy Christmas in advance! Much love from Germany.

The squeaking sound does go away once you wear them on dirt and pavement and stuff It’s just squeaking because that rubber is all shiny and new in once the souls lose that bit of shine the squeak goes away

Do these pairs carry a strong rubbery smell? I got it from an official Cons distributor and I had it legit checked and they all said it’s “OFF” due to mm sizing which is very common for Korea released pairs.

I have plantar fascitis and these work perfectly fine for me with no pain. Funny, I bought Brooks and Hoka to help my pain and they are actually hurting me. Regarding size, by now you probably know if you bought them lol I'm typically 10.5 - 11 in everything else and the 11's in these fit great.

Skinny jeans wasn't a low point. It's just fashion it rotates. I had all my loose pants through that era and I was looking "crazy". I have more fitted pants now and I have loose. There is room in every era for them all. Consider the fact it will all rotate unless trend is the only concern then disregard 🤗😅

how is the stability with the platform. I've always liked how converse chucks look but never bought them because of the poor arch support. I have flat feet so I need something with some give and cushioning.

I know this is a super old comment lol but if you’re still looking for a shoe: in my personal opinion I would go with the Converse Lugged version instead. This week I just bought both the Lugged and Run Star Hike to try them both and found the Lugged to be much more comfortable and provide cushioning. I have exactly the same problem as you and need to have shoes with arch support or else I can’t wear them. I really wanted to love the Run Star and thought they would work better, but I found that the rubber and insoles on the Lugged were much thicker and better for my feet personally. One note of caution tho: both shoes might actually be comfortable, and maybe I just wasn’t able to find the right pair of the Run Star version. I say that because I bought two identical pairs (same size/color) of the Lugged version from two different distributors and noticed unfortunately really dramatic differences in quality. One pair had buttery-soft canvas, extra thick cushioning, and an extremely springy, durable rubber sole. The other pair felt way cheaper, with rough/scratchy canvas, not as good cushioning, and almost plastic-feeling rubber that felt physically lighter and made a slapping noise on the ground. So possibly that would be the same way with the Run Star (I would have to buy multiple pairs to find a good one). In the end I went with the good quality Lugged one I found and I’m happy with it. Anyway sorry for the long post lol, hope this helps!

@@rubenvasquez4095 Hi Ruben they are very comfortable. The very first day I wore them I wore them to the nightclub and danced in them and they were comfortable. I didn’t have any problems with my feet hurting or them being heavy on my feet and they’re very stylish. you should get them. I do believe that you will enjoy them.😊
