Yeah the Sea Star OX II. I have the exact same pair as he has on in the beginning when he opens up the camera and the final line. Also the kickflip tail on the bank to ledge.

Nah. It's hard to tell in pictures but they do have a molded grip like a regular shoe, but the rubber is also lacerated in a wave pattern. So if the shoe flexes the cuts open up and provide extra grip. But the rubber is really soft so they have pretty good grip. They are thin as all hell though, so I'd only recommend 'em for techy stuff. I probably sound like the worlds biggest shill, but they are bar none my favorite skate shoe of all time.
