The Cat in the Hat Coin-Operated Ride

Made and manufactured by Jolly Roger Amusement Rides of the United Kingdom in 2004. Licensed under Universal Studios Licensing, LLC and Dr. Seuss.
I will admit I had to hold my phone directly to the speaker without getting caught due to low sound volume, but the results came fine.

About Harry; I went on that ride and it did take quarters. It had the original Kiddie's box (with the "Attention parents" message and It's a Small World). I also went on Scoop, the Kiddie Coaster (I.C.E.), a safari truck from R.G. Mitchell (that attract mode had me pondering), a train, a carousel, and a motorcycle.

That train is from Bafco. Also, that safari truck is the RG Mitchell Forest Ranger jeep. In unrelated news, Player's Choice is such an awesome arcade. I have the highest score on that Harley-Davidson arcade machine there under "PAU".

It probably is. I wouldn't be surprised if it was released as film merchandise, as it was released around the same time as the film.

It really is, greenth1ng! BTW, I have also discovered there are versions of this ride that play generic JR sound effects instead of that song. I'll bet licensing issues were what prompted that, similar to the original Snoopy Doghouse ride. Speaking of the Snoopy house, do you remember if the version that used to be at the Big Lots near you had the Peanuts music? That's the last JR ride I'm desperately searching for.

I do not know TBH. I only heard the "please insert another coin" message for that ride, and it's no longer at that Big Lots, going from what I saw on eBay.

It's sad that Jolly Roger made this ride due to it being nominated for 10 Golden Raspberry Awards. This was actually the first movie I saw in the theaters when I was 4 years old at the time. Even though I used to like this movie, I don't like it now. At least they made the Stuart roadster which is good.

I was 7 when it came out and I actually saw it in the theater too. I wouldn't say it's a patch on the Dr. Seuss books, but this ride was definitely a great find for me. :)

Some people may find the movie a guilty pleasure. I find the 1971 special (which is much shorter in length) a lot better. I do remember I used to own the Beginner Book Video of this which I think broke. It's already uploaded on RET-NETnetwork's channel if you want to watch it.
