Convert 400w Quartz Heater Tube to 12V/24V Heater Tube
We have 1000W heater coil, it has resistance of 56 ohms.
I cut it to the point where the resistance of the coil is 3Ω. Required resistance (For 12v) = (56×12)/220= 3Ω
Now,
Power = V× I = V × (V/R) = (V×V)/R = (12×12)/3
=48W
The power consumed by a coil is 50W (Approximately)
(For 24V Power Supply,Coil Resistance Should be 6Ω,Power consumption ≈100W)
