That is a very cool project but a real bummer that you can't interface the USB data lines with the 8266. I was looking for a wireless USB solution for my 3D printer without having to resort to wasting a Pi Zero W just for that. Thanks for sharing your experiment!

I was making this exact same thing, i referred the same videos as you did and was thinking of implementing using http. I made the hardware and uploaded the code got from the G6EJD channel. On uploading a file larger than 10 MB caused the ESP8266 to freeze and reboot, I tried to find the reason but all i could find was that there was a buffer overrun, I then tried to make a version with a card reader and esp8266 such that whenever the card reader was powered the esp8266 must make the SPI lines input and go into deepSleep and then resume its process on battery power once the USB is unplugged, that didn't work too. Thank you for all your efforts into FTP. I'm waiting for the ESP32-S2 too but it doesn't support SD_MMC.

actually 6 years ago, i have a friend who owns a seagate hard disk that has wifi connectivity so you can do access if you connect to the wifi of the disk. the cost is 4x the normal hard disk back then.

USB or hard disk won't be possible with esp8266, maybe if you use esp32-S2 you can use USB but will still lack hard disk.

I apologize again ... the difficulty in connecting the SD card. Everything connects via SPI. I found a lot of SPI manuals on the network for SD and for ESP-12E, but how connected with you on video ... it seems to me differently. I earned WiFi, but by connecting the error card. I did it! Everything works great. SD pins should be connected like this: mosi-hspimosi, miso-hspimiso, cs-gpio2, sclk-hspiclk. I connected all GNDs to the SD card just in case. The SD card must be FAT32. The speed is small. Like dialup. But it's still better than nothing at all.

Use two different esp12e module 1 as wifi jammer and another as fake capative portal of any type like college server with custom ip for login or local attendance system block network from one esp and start fake copy server from another use it as password grabber

Would you please show me a way how to use this project without using access-point, because I want to use my router in this project. I want to connect the esp8266 to my router, and also the FTP client to the router. I have a Desktop PC, which doesn't have an inbuilt WIFI module, so I am unable to use this method with my PC unless I use my router in this project. I can use my phone for this, but if I could use it on my PC, it would be more helpful. I am waiting for your reply. If someone else knows how to switch from AP mode to router mode, please also reply.
