Convert another person's save into your own | AC Unity (Ubisoft Connect version)

Its very important to copy folder name (example, my folder name is: "1b3fd2d8-a26a-10f8-ba32-zg1f16614a12") from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames" and paste to Encryption ID , if you don't do this the save don't work.

@@Vince3-fi9bd Yes, choose the game in the "Game" tab and click on "Detect" , > Convert, it will automatically create a backup folder "acst_backup" Copy save game from the source folder, NOT from the folder "acst_backup"

If i am starting for the first time and havent played yet with NO SAVES can i just put someones 100% save file into my AC save folder? or do I need to play atleast the intro of the game?

Just completing the first mission is enough, you need the original save for the conversion

Following all of the steps perfectly, literally had a friend read over them to make sure I was doing it right but when I launch the game I don't get an option to pick local or anything it just tells me my save is corrupt and I need to start a new game. Please help

i did that with ac origins, but the main savefile is everytime save location 2, is it possible to get it on the first save file?

That I have zero idea lmao, most ac saves as far as I know have all of that information encrypted in the file itself. You might need a save editor for that

In origins you don’t need the tool you can just replace the files into your save folder

i had the same message at first. for me, the problem was that when i created the back-up of my saves, i put a map folder in the unity folder where the back-ups were. when i stored them somewhere else, and deleted the back up folder in the unity folder, it worked. idk if this aplies to you however. if not, double check you put the right converted file in the save folder. maybe you used the back-up created by the program
