Hey, I wanted to thank you again for getting me thinking about the right way of doing this and after a long time I was finally able to get a hold of the manufacturer of these type of pumps and they were kind enough that actually send me PDF with detailed drawings and instructions on how to even do a better conversion from a da to a sa pump. Directly and they can supply you with the documentation to do it. I wish I had a way to do a file share attachment in the comment section and I would share it with everybody.

Hey Phillip Haverly I have not been able to get a hold of the manufacturer for a proper schematic do you thing you can email me your PDF? I think this video is a great start but not sure what happens to the other solenoid... Does it just get disconnected?

Can I get a copy of that pdf?

Thank you. Wish I found this last winter. Going on 8 months for me. Hand unloading because no one in town can fit me in evidently

👍👍 thank you so much for posting this that's exactly what happened to me I ordered the wrong pump and I was starting to think about replumbing it instead of rewiring it thanks so much. I only wish you included a PDF with the schematic of how you did rewire it thank you.

Sorry no drawing... had found a bunch of drawings online but nothing about converting it. This was just more trial and error... do it wrong a bunch of times... till you do it right! Glad you got a set of drawings that worked out for you!

Did you blank off the second outlet where the 2nd pipe would go?
@michaelsharrock698 Жыл бұрын
, did you just leave the 2nd pipe outlet or blank it off so fluid don't squirt out?

I've got the same double acting pump, mines not working right, unhooked the blue wire. No fluid either port but I've got pressure on guage, hooked blue wire back up as factory and Right port pumps fluid out. When I let it down it blows fluid out the left port. Why

GREAT VIDEO!! So the oil is pushed in and drained out through the one hose?
@deathvalleyfarmer5563 Жыл бұрын
Yes.

Did not work for me. I did somwthing similar but when lettign down it blows fluid out of the opposite port. I ran it back to the tank. Will work for my application but not the best

I have a double acting power pack and a double acting cylinder that can't take power down..it will blow the seal...so I want to just press down on the remote and have the fluid gravity down...!one what is done here..as that's how the stacked lift has always worked...but my new power pack is double acting. Is all I have to do is reconfigure the remote so that the motor won't activate but the solenoid will? I hope I've explained myself ok. My cylinder has 2 ports...bottom and top so I thought it is double acting but when I put power to it with the remote...it worked..but blew the bottom seal and popped up the sweeper gasket thing on top of the cylinder..squirting oil out of it s well as the bottom. Maybe the down pressure is too high? Or the hoses were hooked up opposition to right way? Any help or suggestion is much appreciated! Its for a stacked lift being used as a wheelchair lift :)
@deathvalleyfarmer5563 Жыл бұрын
My double acting pump had 4 ports. The video (not very well) shows using 2 of the ports & leaving 2 unused. Rewiring the remote makes the 2 ports active. "Up" under pressure and "down" by gravity. Hope that clarifies for you.

What about the other sides In\out outlets? Can they be left as is and just ignore them? Or do they have to be capped off somehow? Disconnect it from the remote? Ive got the exact same problem here. Still frustrating. Mine is for a wheelchair lift. Great video man, thank you for taking the time! I'm sure ill be watching, rewatching 50 times ;)
@deathvalleyfarmer5563 Жыл бұрын
I didn't cap mine off... your rewiring the switch to eliminate the other side. It is irritating but once you figure it out, it will work like a charm. Good luck.
@moreality5745 Жыл бұрын
So it won't leak if you don't cap off the other high pressure hose intake?
@deathvalleyfarmer5563 Жыл бұрын
@@moreality5745 it won't spray out if you don' because your removing the fluids ability to access that side... if it does for you then a couple caps should not be to bd to add after the fact.

Hi thank you for ur video but I do have a question what should I do with the blue wire hope u can answer thank you again
@deathvalleyfarmer55632 жыл бұрын
It's just a spare that is not required. Runs to the other solenoid... but you don't need it. Just tape it off.
@markriden69972 жыл бұрын
If you guys have a vevor assembly, you switch the blue wire and the black wire in the remote. Im not sure which one this guy has. I ordered a single acting pump and recieved a double acting.
@deathvalleyfarmer55632 жыл бұрын
Not sure what happened to your accurate breakdown of the engineering behind this video... but you gave the intellectual version of my farming explanation.

I got a vevor assembly and found it works for up with all wiring as delivered, but will not go down more than a couple inches. was your solution to implement the Death Valley Farmer's solution with the one change (sap blue and black)? Or was it to swap the blue and black with all else as delivered from vevor? thanks for you response
@Anonymouslyme863 жыл бұрын
Blue wire?
@scaleytail3 жыл бұрын
So we are only re wiring the remote?

i have zepro backplatelift hydraulic unit and trying to use it with my dump trailer cylinder. back plate lift has 2 cylinders, both of them are single acting. unit has 2 solenoid, I think i only need 1? but not sure. are those 12v hydraulic unit closed loop system so if i start tha pump motor i have same time open the solenoid and therefore piston goes up. and when lowering the cylinder what should i do then :D open the other solenoid ? :D haha greetings from finland
@wallyearle38263 жыл бұрын
@Jrpp Marti if it's a double acting pump... but 2 single acting cylinders... then yes, you will only use 1 solenoid. What about a Y splitter to go to both cylinders? Hope that helps... i'm just a farmer that bought the wrong pump! Ha.
@ka5wplnyle3 жыл бұрын
So does the gray wire on the down button get connected to the positive to open the valve?
@deathvalleyfarmer55633 жыл бұрын
No, the gray wire is connected inside the solenoid already and just needed to be moved in the switch.
