does it works with creating a path on google earth and then doing the gps track to google maps?
@StarpathNav5 жыл бұрын
Once you export the path to GPX, that file should open in any program that imports GPS files. This should be easy to test. It should work. We do have to note that the GPS export is in track format, so if you want a route format you will need to import as a track and then use tools within the nav program (ie opencpn) to convert the track to a route. You can also make this conversation with a text editing tool, but that is a bit more involved. in our nav blog we discuss various GPX formats

I just tried to download gpu in star path and it said could not open XML input. Any idea why or what should I do?
@StarpathNav4 жыл бұрын
GPX files are indeed XML and they will open in a nav program such as OpenCPN or you can view the contents with Google Chrome

Hi, thanks for a nice video. When I follwo the instruction in the video and press Download GPX file, I only get the message; could not open XML input. Any idea whats wrong, anyone?

It looks like your system is trying to open the file automatically after saving it. see if you can turn off that process. There are not many programs that will recognize the extension and open this properly. You can right click it and open with a text editor. You normally would open a nav program and then load it. Or you might be able to drag it onto some programs?

jajaja You think Baja is spelled "B-A-H-A"
@StarpathNav5 жыл бұрын
It is actually a file name, not the name of a place. But your comment is well made and funny. Thanks.... and i can't rule out 100% that is how i thought it was spelled at the time i made the file name. ie, just a plain illiteracy. But i have been there many times and must have noted the right spelling at some point.
