I'm a Shoemakers daughter & this brought overflowing tears to my eyes because I grew up watching my Father in his shop & handing him tools. He was born in 1900 (over 100 years ago) - made me later in life & was a real traditional Shoemaker. Watched him so many times rebirth old worn shoes! This was amazing. Can't stop crying.
@sonsida784429 күн бұрын

From old to new. ❤ I could watch you work all day long. Proof you’re a master at your craft; by not only the hands of a working man, but the way you free hands with everything. Especially cutting the tips off without measuring, brilliantly done. The after shoes bought back fond memories. After my accident, I didn’t wear high heels for a while. There was a sale on shoes, and I bought a pair, duplicate to the after. I decided to break them in while recuperating. As I walked back and forth, the constant ouch and limping was too much. They hurt my feet tremendously. I decided to give my feet a break, and returned to my socks. I heard this commotion, and realized my fur baby was no longer by my side. Previously he had accompanied me as I walked around. As I got closer to my bedroom door, he was growling and viciously going at something. It was my shoes. He had bit up the heels and the front. The soles were pulled out. His teeth marks were all over. My shoes were ruined. I felt like crying. As he noticed me standing there in shock, he came and licked both of my feet. Then turned, and barked at my shoes. He looked up at me with joy on his face. In his mind, he had rescued me from my tormentor; the pain from my new shoes. All I could do was laugh because I knew he was not being spiteful. His actions were showing love towards me. Both shoes are nice. But my go to dress shoes are the pointy ones. I love those types of shoes. Especially with my dress slacks. They give the illusion of elongating the legs. That hint of sexiness with my suits, professional wear gives me confidence. I don’t care if the heels are a bit thick of narrow. Only downside, sometimes the creases from being so pointy. Excellent job sir. I’ll be looking forward to more of your videos ❤❤❤

Your story brought a big smile to my face! 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that it sparked such fond memories. Pointy shoes do have that perfect mix of elegance and confidence, don’t they? I completely understand the love for how they complement dress slacks and professional outfits. I’ll definitely keep making videos that celebrate the beauty and versatility of shoes like these! Thank you again for your support-I look forward to hearing your thoughts on my future projects! ❤👞✨

OMG! I’m 70, and they looked old, dated and painful! Yes, I was stupid enough once upon a time to be “ fashionable “, and I paid the price! It’s always inspiring how recyclable many things are in the hands of a true craftsperson! Bravo! As an afterthought though, they still are not advisable for other than very short periods. I often wore very high heels, not for fashion, but to see eyeball to eyeball with power players…it really does play into societal communication dynamics. That may be unfortunate, but it’s true. So, a word of caution to males that think women all wear the to be “ sexy”…sometimes it’s absolutely NOT the case. 🤣😉
@LeatherCraft_MasteryАй бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your story and perspective! 😊 It's incredible to hear from someone with experience and wisdom on both the practicality and impact of high heels! Fashion can indeed come with a cost, and you’re so right-sometimes it’s about feeling empowered rather than “sexy.” I’m glad you enjoyed the recycling aspect, too. True craftsmanship can bring fresh life to these pieces, making them a bit more comfortable and beautiful without compromising on style. Thanks again for watching, and I truly appreciate your thoughtful insights! 🙏✨

I used to always wear heels to work because I look much younger than my age. The heels with business casual/business attire made people treat me more professionally. Other employees looked their age and could afford to dress down. Fortunately, I at least look like I'm in my late 20s to early 30s now (I'm 41). When I was starting out as a therapist in my late 20s/early 30s, I would often be mistaken as a teenager unless I had my power heels, button downs, vintage jewelry, and business or vintage dresses. I'm only 5'2", so the heels would make me 5'6" or 5'7", and that really helped a lot. I screwed up my left knee from years of wearing those heels 5 to 6 days a week, though. Now, I can only comfortably wear very low 2" heels.
@LeatherCraft_MasteryАй бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your story! It’s amazing how much of an impact heels can have on the way people perceive us, especially in professional settings. I totally get the power heels effect - they can really boost confidence and presence, especially when height and appearance play into how others respond. I’m sorry to hear about your knee, though. It’s a reminder of how important it is to find a balance. Luckily, there are so many stylish options now in lower heels! Thanks again for bringing this up; it’s a real inspiration for those navigating similar experiences in the workplace.
