Convert Photo to Laser engrave with Adobe Illustrator

Do you have a picture of the finished product using that style of editing? Asking because I've found some tutorials that talk about dotting the image out so that the laser reproduces those dots.

This may be a dumb question or I may have missed it in the video: do you not have to set your line thinkness to be 0.001 mm? Thank you!

Why would you go through all this effort for such a sub-par result? Just use image dithering you would have saved everyone the time of watching this garbage, instead of re-inventing the wheel just use the proven method that results in a great looking image. I can see why you didn’t show the results being lasered.
