I use this technique to consolidate different invoices at work and consolidate and report sums. Doing this would take me 10 to 15 to finish my work while my co workers would take them two hours to do manually by physically high light each invoice and ad quantities with a calculator. And i never told them my secret hahahahaha. My boss found out how I did it and had me do a presentation on how to do text to columns and pivot tables, but they didn’t feel comfortable doing it with excel and went back to doing things manually. Working with excel made me double efficient doing things way faster and accurate.

Yes u can always do this selecting - as the delimiter in other tab of the textVi column wizard. I have really racked my brain a lot going one videos to another. summary ... if you r struggling to convert text to excel ..copy ur data from text, paste it to excel then go to data tab text columns and follow instructions ... and yaaaaay !! thanks a lot

Use Find and replace dialogue to remove all * with nothing.

the video it too long, the action it's self explanatory if you can answer tell me why the action deletes the dash or any other word that fallows the separation character

The was one error in this example, in the example they used dash as the delimiter... in the real world you would have wanted to use dash space... this would have eliminated the space starting the second column
