IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Thanks for watching this video. If you are watching this video in 2023, please note that this pathway has become very difficult due to the current job market in Canada. As you know, only LMIA approved jobs are eligible to secure a work permit and these jobs have become increasingly challenging to get. Most jobs available these days are what we generally regard as ‘lower level jobs’, which may not necessarily provide an advantage to boost your profile for the express entry program. Given Canada’s current labour climate, the odds of getting jobs are now very slim for ‘foreign workers’ that wish to explore this pathway, unlike before. While this pathway is still listed as a viable pathway on the government’s website, till February 2025, I personally do not encourage trying to out anymore given the odds. It is best for you to explore other viable options such as the study route, express entry and provincial nomination programs available. Good luck!🙏🏼

Faith this video is very misleading for people that are desperately looking to get a Work Permit in Canada. I know this was not your intention, but please be careful with this in the future to avoid spreading misinformation about the process. More detailed information below. The video makes it seem like Visitor Status + In Canada = Work Permit. This is not true. You still require a LMIA supported Job Offer (which is one of the hardest things to get) or an LMIA Exempt Offer of Employment (also very hard to get) to be eligible to apply for a Work Permit. Please ensure you have one of the above before attempting to use this public policy to apply for a Work Permit or you will be wasting your time and money on an application bound to be rejected.

Sometimes the biggest fear is how much I am going to spend on accomodation because I am going to a place I have never been to. It is highly unlikely that you will search for, get an LMIA approved job and finish the applications within 10 days. I recommend you plan to stay longer if possible. Good luck! 😊

Hmmmm... that is the big question. Right now, there have been some delays, so sometimes it takes several months. Regardless, just apply for it. I believe the Feb date will be extended, Canada is really facing a labour shortage. All the best! 😊

You can, but you’ll need to have gotten an LMIA approved offer of employment from an employer, then you’ll use that to apply for the work permit.

The key is getting yourself to Canada and looking for an LMIA approved job once you arrive. Whether that is through a visitor visa or through eTA (if that allows you temporary stay in Canada), it's the same thing.

Hello Faith, Parthian from India here. I merely applied for a visitor visa this week, hoping to be in Canada in January 2023. I'm also planning to look for work there. It is feasible to obtain a work visa if you find employment within a month. Alternatively, is there any way to extend a month or year.

It's possible to find employment in a month, you just have to aggressively search once you land. Physically go to companies, use job boards, contact people on LinkedIn. All the best!
