Hi my wife converted her Epson to sublimation and was having so much fun with it making mugs and work gear. Today she went to make a blue mug and it has come out purple. Only had it for a couple of months. Did a clean that chewed through so much ink. All the lines on the report are good except for blue. It has a couple of missing spots. Any tips? TIA

Sadly that is one of the pitfalls of converting a printer for dye sublimation - if you don’t use it for a week or two, the ink begins to dry in the heads, requiring one or many repeated cleaning cycles. I think Fresh had to run six cleaning cycles after our last printer was idle for a few months. Good news is that we were able to print again. Bad news is we wasted a lot of ink, and may have filled the waste ink reservoir.

Hi there, how were you able to use your cricut to perfectly cut the shape of the images you have printed? im asking so, because i would like us inkjet printable fabric so that i can emboss/deboss my patters, but im unsure on i can achieve this (your method shows the cricut perfectly cutting your desired shape), thanks a lot :)

How do you use dtf with only 4 ink ports. The epson et2800 only holds 4 colors

You can’t. You can do sublimation in the 2800 but DTF would need the 8500/8550.

How do you convert to dtf

Good question. I did a little research.The Epson EcoTank 8500 or 8550 has 5 ink slots - amzn.to/3Nh0znf. This means there are slots for black, cyan, magenta, yellow and WHITE. You could purchase DTF ink - amzn.to/3YccA3G - and add that instead of the inkjet ink included with the 8500. I haven't tried this but I would think it would work the same way. (affiliate links)

Your not converting it, your just putting in a different ink in it, converting means changing it from one thing to another

You buy an inkjet printer. Don’t put the ink it comes with it in. Instead you “convert”’it by installing sublimation ink. Call it what you want.

If you want to be nit picky, it's *YOU'RE*.
